About

Suman Rath, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering who specializes in grid modeling and control, resilient online learning, game theory and graph algorithms. Rath received his doctoral degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. During his Ph.D. he also worked as a graduate researcher with the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s cybersecurity center.

Rath’s research spans across multiple avenues comprising of power and signal systems, machine learning, cybersecurity and algorithms. His lab is currently developing self-healing controllers for the smart grid, critical infrastructure security, deployable low-compute machine learning, digital twins and dynamic algorithms for cybersecurity.
