Surendra Singh, Ph.D.

Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering

About

Singh is Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of Tulsa. He joined the department in fall of 1985 after completing his doctorate from University of Mississippi. His principal area of research is computational electromagnetics. In his research work, he has written efficient computer codes in Fortran and Matlab to carry out radar cross section computations and to study the impact of plasma on wave propagation in the ionosphere. He has performed research at various Naval and Air Force Research Laboratories in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, New Mexico and California. Since 2003, he has been a regular visitor to National Science Foundation where he has served on over 70 Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase I and Phase II review panels. He is passionate about teaching and providing internships to undergraduate students. He has provided engineering internships to over 90 students through the Oklahoma Center for Advancement of Science & Technology (OCAST) Student Internship Program.
