No in-person classes Friday

Dear students and faculty,

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from midnight through 6 p.m. Friday. The forecast calls for up to 3 inches of snow accumulation in our area.

Out of an abundance of caution, all in-person classes at The University of Tulsa have been canceled for Friday. We hope this gives students who are leaving campus for spring break an opportunity to travel before the road conditions worsen.

Faculty members may choose to teach remotely or cancel class and upload materials to Harvey. Faculty should notify students as soon as possible with their decision. Instructors may make assignments as they normally would in class. However, students should be given ample time to complete all tasks. Faculty should not assume students have internet access and should notify students about any rescheduled in-person activities, such as missed labs.

Students should check Harvey as soon as possible for make-up assignments and new deadlines for coursework.

No decision has been made on whether to close university offices. Regardless, the Student Union will remain open for dining services Friday.

Please exercise caution when walking or driving on campus during winter weather. Slick spots may be reported to Facilities Management at 918-631-2245. Please call Campus Security at 918-631-5555 if you need assistance.
