The School of Cyber Studies is the first and only dedicated academic department nationwide offering B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in cyber studies. Since 2000, The University of Tulsa has been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. The B.S. and M.S. degrees in Cyber Security prepare graduates for careers in cyber defense using a hands-on curriculum adhering to CAE-CD guidelines. Additionally, the M.S. in Cyber Security has been validated as an approved CAE-CD Program of Study. The Ph.D. in Cyber Studies encourages students to pursue research under the supervision of a faculty member. Its curriculum is flexible enough to encourage interdisciplinary scholarship to tackle pressing open problems.
