Students gain practical experience by participating in internships at museums and cultural and religious institutions and through archaeological fieldwork abroad. They have participated in excavations in Israel, Jordan, and Armenia. Tulsa is uniquely positioned to offer these opportunities due to its strong collaborations and rich resources in Near Eastern art, archaeology, history, religion, and politics. Notable resources include the Special Collections at the UTulsa McFarlin Library, Gilcrease Museum, Philbrook Museum, and Sherman Miller Museum of Jewish Art.

      EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

    • Make your UTulsa experience as rich and diverse as you like.

UTulsa students have numerous opportunities to join clubs and organizations, develop new skills, meet friends, and create lasting memories. Student organizations such as the Jewish Student Cultural Association, Muslim Student Association, and the Persian Student Association enable students to engage both on campus and in the wider community. Additionally, groups like Hillel and the Muslim Student Prayer House offer a variety of extracurricular options that enhance our multidisciplinary environment.

      Student Organizations
