Accelerated program offers bachelor’s plus law degree in six years

One of many unique opportunities offered at The University of Tulsa is the chance to earn two degrees on an accelerated track. Through UTulsa’s Accelerated Law Program, students in the Kendall College of Arts & Sciences and the Collins College of Business, in collaboration with the College of Law, can complete both their undergraduate degree and their juris doctor degree in just six years.

      The externship program at the University of Tulsa College of Law offers 2L and 3L students the opportunity to earn academic credit while gaining practical, live client experience in the field. Students work in a legal setting under the supervision of a licensed attorney or judge while also taking a contemporaneous academic course, which provides the opportunity for reflection and additional substantive knowledge.

      TU Law students have abundant opportunities to get involved with student organizations to develop new skills, meet new friends, and make lifetime memories. Our multi-faceted extracurricular options perfectly complement our multidisciplinary academic approach. The Board of Advocates is the only Moot Court / Mock Trial organization at the University of Tulsa College of Law. Membership is open to any law student interested in advocacy and is also in good standing with the university. The Board includes members at large and the Executive Council.

In considering issues ranging from low-income to racial biases, students analyze the intricacies of cyclical social issues to gain broader perspectives and insights, which they can share with others and act on in the community.

    Two-time alumna named U.S. Supreme Court Fellow

    The Supreme Court Fellows Commission has announced the appointment of UTulsa alumna Hope Forsyth (B.A. ’15, J.D. ’18) as one of four U.S. Supreme Court Fellows. Forsyth begins this prestigious, nonpartisan, and extraordinarily selective yearlong term in September. She will have an unparalleled opportunity to observe and participate in the work of the federal judiciary at the highest level.
