As called for in TU’s 2017-22 Strategic Plan, the Staff Advisory Council facilitates communication between staff and the administration and helps to implement the university’s strategic priorities. Membership is comprised of representatives from colleges and departments across campus.
The Staff Advisory Council of The University of Tulsa fulfills the following roles:
- Facilitate communication between staff and the administration
- Advise the administration on matters of interest to staff
- Support implementation of the Strategic Plan and other university initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration between staff and other university constituencies
- Recommend staff representations to university committees and task forces.
The Staff Advisory Council is comprised of 33 staff members selected to represent the roughly 900 staff employees who serve vital roles throughout our community.

2019-2020 SAC GENERAL ELECTIONS
The membership term for SAC service is three years and membership terms are staggered so as to ensure that 1/3rd of the total membership is selected in each year.
For 2019-2020, 3 at-large seats are available for general elections. Nominations and self-nominations for at-large seats are welcome and will open April 8, 2019.
Please note that no employee may serve on SAC without their supervisor’s permission to be excused from work to fulfill SAC meeting and committee attendance requirements.
General elections for at-large seats are scheduled for April 30, 2019. Nominations and supervisor approval are due by April 26th.
