As you know, President Clancy has announced that he has stepped down as president effective January 30 due to unexpected medical conditions. I would like to express my personal thanks for Gerry’s leadership and Iook forward to his return to campus.
Given this unanticipated development, I have agreed to serve as interim president while the board launches a search for our permanent 21st president. My goals during this interim appointment, as well as the strategic vision for the school, remain the same – to continue our important work on financial sustainability, maintain the positive momentum of our student success initiative and make campus a rewarding place to live and work.
I would also like to share my appreciation of and support for Senior Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives Tracy Manly who the board has named acting Provost. She will serve in an acting capacity until the next president is selected.
TU is better for Gerry’s leadership, and I know that we will continue to benefit from his dedication to our campus and community.
