Faculty Publication & Juried Exhibition Costs

The university will assist faculty with costs related to page charges, submission fees, subventions and juried exhibitions. Reprint and textbook subvention costs will not be covered in this program. The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will pay half of these publication and juried exhibition costs up to a maximum of $1,000 and the college and/or department will pay half of these costs up to a maximum of $1,000. The individual must pay the balance of costs above $2,000. Please contact Debra Owen at 918-631-2714 with any questions about your project.

In the case of a subvention, the university will provide up to $4,000, of which the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will pay half of the subvention costs up to a maximum of $2,000 and the college and/or department will pay half of the costs up to a maximum of $2,000. The balance of costs above $4,000 must be paid by the individual.

Requests should be submitted through the Department Chair and the Collegiate Dean to the Vice Provost for Research. The Department Chair and the Collegiate Dean will indicate, at the time of approval, the amount of their respective support and designate the appropriate account number for the charge.

Applications for juried exhibitions must be submitted in advance of expenses and the exhibit, not after the event. A range in expenses may be listed if the applicant is unsure of the shipping costs, etc. Requests for page charges, submission fees and subventions should be submitted immediately after you have received notification from the publisher regarding these costs.
