Welcome to TURC!
Since its founding in 1994, the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC) has made The University of Tulsa a national leader in undergraduate education. The aim of TURC is to create future leaders in scholarship, research, and public life through an emphasis on undergraduate research and community involvement.
This distinctive program has garnered national attention owing largely to its unique integration of scholarship, service, and community-building through shared engagement in research or creative endeavor. Launched by early opportunities to pursue cutting edge, impactful projects of inquiry alongside TU faculty mentors, many TURC Scholars have gone on to become some of TU’s most celebrated alumni, winning accolades and pursuing stellar careers while always making positive contributions to their communities.
To prospective and current TU students, please feel welcome to email me if you want to learn more about TURC. It is my honor to work with such highly engaged students, and I look forward to working with TU’s stellar faculty as we develop this program further, taking it in exciting new directions while keeping its proven core elements.
