The Student Activities Office works closely with The University of Tulsa Student Association (SA).
SA is responsible for allocating funds, recognizing official organizations, maintaining a record of recognized student organizations, imposing rules and guidelines, and facilitating programs and events for the student body. It represents the cooperative effort of all students and organizations on campus to make college life as enriching and rewarding as possible.
All students at The University of Tulsa are members of SA. Every semester you pay a student fee to help cover the costs of SA-sponsored programming, speakers and services. Some of these events include Homecoming Week, Springfest, Grad Party and concerts.
Here are some of the other perks offered by SA:
- Free admittance to Philbrook Museum of Art
- Free legal services
- Discounted rates to local events such as $2 Tuesdays at the historic Circle Cinema and to lecture series and other live entertainment.
To learn more about campus organizations or scheduled activities such as upcoming concerts, comedians, speakers, road trips and other opportunities for campus involvement, contact an SA officer or visit the Student Association Website.
Activity & Resource Fair
On the first Thursday of each semester, SA sponsors an Activity & Resource Fair. This event is the best way for students to see all that TU has to offer.
To assist student organizations in having a successful year, SA organizes a required meeting for all student organization presidents each year. The purpose of this meeting is to become acquainted with other student organization leaders, provide groups with valuable information about available resources and update organizations on any policy changes.
Student Organization Committee (SOC)
The Student Organization Committee (SOC) is responsible for facilitating the registration of campus organizations, establishing a campus-wide calendar, and maintaining an updated list of all campus organizations and their advisers.
Organizations interested in applying for funding must be registered with the SOC. To register as an organization with SOC, please complete the new charter registration form.
