Michael Woolridge, M.S., LPC-S, LADC/MH

Director, Counseling and Psychological Services

Michael Woolridge, LPC-S, LADC-MH, brings thirty years of leadership and clinical expertise to the role of Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) where he oversees mental health support for The University of Tulsa. He is deeply committed to leading transformative change and being an advocate for mental health after serving as a public sector systems leader at the local, state, and federal level. CAPS promotes mental wellness by providing clients psychoeducational support, while addressing issues concerning anxiety, depression, multicultural challenges, student athlete stressors, substance abuse, trauma, suicidal ideation, anger management, LGBTQ+ concerns, and self-esteem.

Before joining The University of Tulsa, he retired from service after serving approximately twenty years with the United States District Court in the Northern District of Oklahoma. While there, he served in multiple leadership roles including executive Deputy Chief where he oversaw the district’s substance abuse testing and treatment programs, mental health treatment support, rehabilitation opportunities, and strategic support for innovative programs for the districts eleven counties as they championed efforts to lower recidivism by utilizing mental health, area technical training and substance initiatives. Woolridge also served as one of the United States Federal Judicial Conference (FJC) faculty members tasked with the honor of facilitating leadership courses for the Deputy Court Unit Executives for judicial districts throughout the United States. Further, Woolridge served on a national committee of five Deputy Chief United States Probation Officers in the United States charged with identifying outreach initiatives that impacted post-conviction concerns to lower recidivism while addressing various national leadership challenges.

Woolridge has prior experience in the greater Tulsa community serving as a clinician for Domestic Violence Invention Services, Family and Children Services, and Day Break Family Services. Woolridge has served as an adolescent drug and alcohol coordinator and case manager for Big Brothers and Sisters. He is a Class 34 Leadership Tulsa graduate and former four-year starter on Oklahoma State University’s football team where he was selected team captain and third team All-Century Team.

Since joining UTulsa, he has served as a multicultural clinician and Assistant Counseling and Psychological Services Director. Woolridge received his bachelor’s degree and Master of Science Degree in Individual Family and Community Counseling from Oklahoma State University. Woolridge, who dually licensed in the state of Oklahoma, has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for twenty-five years. He is also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Oklahoma

Maci Jones, B.S.

Department Assistant

Maci Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Arkansas and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resource and workforce development from the same institution. She brings a strong background in administrative support and student-focused services to her current role as department assistant for Counseling and Psychological Services at The University of Tulsa.

Before joining UTulsa, Maci worked for Broken Arrow Public Schools where she supported student services and departmental coordination. She also gained valuable experience in the healthcare field as a referral coordinator at a pediatric therapy office, where she developed a passion for helping families navigate care and support systems.

With a commitment to fostering well-being and student success, Maci blends organizational skills with a compassionate approach to service, making her a valuable team member to Counseling and Psychological Services.

Jasmin Kurien

Laura Moore, LPC

Embedded Clinician

Laura Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals of all ages. Specializing in trauma, family systems, and solution-focused therapies, Laura helps individuals navigate life’s challenges by fostering resilience and personal growth. With a commitment to creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment, Laura integrates an evidence-based approach to empower students and help them cope with the stress of college life. At The University of Tulsa, Laura contributes to the counseling department by offering expertise in clinical practice and student support and promoting mental well-being within the university community.

Erica Porter, LPC

Staff Clinician

Erica Porter is a somatic-based licensed professional counselor with a rich background in education and mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Human Relations in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Erica began her career as a teacher and school administrator, bringing years of experience in human development and educational leadership to her therapeutic practice.

Today, Erica integrates her deep understanding of human development with advanced clinical training in trauma informed care. She is trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), integrated somatic therapy, breathwork assisted psychotherapy, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and somatic nature-based interventions. Her holistic, body-centered approach supports clients in accessing deep healing through the integration of mind, body, and nervous system awareness.

Erica is passionate about creating safe, grounded spaces for clients to reconnect with themselves, process trauma, and cultivate resilience through embodied practices.

Lauren Prince

Gary Roberts, M.S., LPC-S

Gary Roberts Jr. was born in San Francisco, California, and spent his early life in the custody of the state of California. As a child, he endured significant trauma, resulting in difficulties with behavior, forming relationships, and maintaining stable placements. He was placed in over 15 foster homes, multiple group homes and shelters, and several inpatient facilities, even experiencing homelessness.

Despite these challenges, Gary transformed his life and committed himself to helping others facing similar obstacles. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an LPC-Supervisor, approved to train future mental health professionals.

Throughout his career, Gary has worked in a wide range of mental health and leadership roles. His clinical experience includes providing individual and family therapy for individuals struggling with substance abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. He has served as:

  • Director of an adult long-term care facility
  • Director of a Level E DHS group home
  • Director of foster care and non-profit organizations
  • Clinical Director of multiple counseling agencies
  • Director of an inpatient psychiatric residential hospital

Gary spent eight years as part of the Children Protection Coalition, a local alliance of leaders focused on advancing policies and education to support children in state custody. He currently operates a successful private practice, where he also mentors and supervises therapists pursuing licensure. In addition, he consults and coaches new entrepreneurs on how to launch private practices and counseling organizations.

An accomplished public speaker, Gary regularly delivers talks on trauma, resilience, the foster care system, and professional development. He currently serves as Vice President on the board of a nonprofit that leverages innovative technology to expand educational opportunities for children.

Drawing from his background playing competitive sports, Gary found a unique way to blend his passion for sports with his clinical expertise. He has had the opportunity to work with Team USA athletes and will now serve as a counselor for student athletes at The University of Tulsa, supporting their mental health and performance on and off the track, court, and field.

Diana Wall, LPC

Staff Clinician

Diana Wall is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oklahoma and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Texas.

Diana believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate healing and growth. Her approach is collaborative as she utilizes motivational interviewing techniques to work alongside her clients to help them explore their unique experiences and discover their inner strengths. Therapeutic approaches include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, systems therapy approach, and humanistic therapy. Diana has experience supporting clients as they address mental health challenges with anxiety, depression and relationship issues. She also has experience working with students as they adjust to the college setting. Diana has specialized experience working with neurodivergent populations and persons with disabilities. She has experience providing mental health support for young adults and adults.

Diana is warm, authentic and respectful of everyone. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her companion Nacho, listening to music, reading, being in nature, attending musicals, and gardening.
