Find Your Path

Know your Military and Veteran Education Benefits at the University of Tulsa! Visit www.gibill.va.gov.

Contact cindy-watts@utulsa.edu or visit the Registrar’s Office and the Veteran Center at TU to learn about the different programs offered to help veterans and military personnel on campus. Visit http://utulsa.edu/info-for-current-students/ for all the offices you should visit to set up email, buy your parking permit, search for campus jobs, buy textbooks, etc.

Get Academic Support

Set up academic success coaching at the Center for Student Academic Success (CSAS) to help with study skills, time management and adjusting to college life. Find out about academic accommodations for students with disabilities or get tutors for classes at CSAS. Use the Veterans Center in Norman Village to study and relax between classes, as well as enjoy free snacks. Tutoring on campus is free!

Meet with Academic Advisor

Meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss declaring majors and developing an outline of courses for your time at TU. Make an effort to meet with your academic advisor 1-2 times per semester. Make sure you are on track to graduate and taking the correct courses for your major and minor.

Get Involved

Get involved in student activities by attending the Activities Fair in August. Find out about specific veteran interest programs like Blue Ribbon Mothers through the Veterans Center at TU. Keep active and manage stress by using the Fitness Center. Talk to professors about research opportunities. Volunteer with True Blue Neighbors. Visit the Student Activities and Student Association websites for info on student clubs, discounts, intramural sports, and leadership opportunities.

Develop Goals

Develop long-term and short-term goals by talking with your Academic Advisor, Professors, and Academic Success Coach. Visit your professors early and often to discuss your needs and coursework. Explore majors/careers with Career Services.

Attend Job Fairs

Go to job fairs and find internship and career opportunities. Contact Career Services and your College Advising Office for information. Get help with interviewing and resume building.

Get Personal Support

Personal counseling is available at no additional cost at Student Psychological Services. Work through anxiety, depression, and other stressors.
