About

Gardner has practiced as a certified athletic trainer for 40 years. He has been active in Athletic Training education, serving as an accreditation site visitor and eventually as the President of the Commission for Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. He has consulted with Athletic Training/Therapy programs in Jordan, Spain, Ireland, and the UK. Gardner is a Fulbright Specialist recipient and currently works closely with Athletic Rehabilitators and Therapists of Ireland as a member of their accreditation committee. He is currently the Graduate Program Director for Sport Leadership at The University of Tulsa.
