About
Mimi Marton joined The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2014 and currently serves as the associate dean of experiential learning and the director of clinical programs. Marton has founded two clinics, the Solo Practice Clinic and the Buck Colbert Franklin Legal Clinic, and has expanded TU Law’s experiential learning programs exponentially. Her areas of expertise include recognizing the impact of nonlegal issues on legal representations. In her classrooms, students find themselves examining such issues as mental health and the law, and – in particular in the B.C. Franklin Clinic – discussing the legal actions related to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre to understand the ways in which the legal systems affect communities we serve.
