Saeed Samiee, Ph.D.

Collins Professor of Marketing and International Business

About

Saeed Samiee is the Collins Professor of Marketing and International Business at The University of Tulsa. He teaches graduate, undergraduate, and professional development courses, with focus on marketing strategy and international business. He has served as a visiting scholar and participated in executive education programs internationally.

He contributes to scholarly journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of International Business Studies. Samiee has received the Mayo Research Excellence Award from the Collins College of Business on four occasions. In addition, he is a recipient of both Journal of International Marketing’s Hans Thorelli and Tamer Cavusgil Awards. Samiee was recognized in 2017 with the Significant Contributions to Global Marketing Award (Lifetime Achievement Award) from the American Marketing Association’s Global Marketing Division. He received TU’s Outstanding Researcher Award in 2022, the first for the Collins College of Business.

He is an area editor for the Journal of International Business Studies, an associate editor for Decision Sciences Journal (marketing and international business), and serves on the editorial review and/or advisory boards of thirteen scholarly journals in marketing and international business. Professor Samiee is a fellow of Academy of International Business and a distinguished fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science.
