I met with my success coach which I was nervous because I did not know what to expect. I never heard of a success coach until I was in TU. TU encourages the students to meet and just have meetings with your designated coach. I was nervous that she was going to be dull, which I am thankful that she genuinely cared about my success and not at all dull. I did not know what a success coach did or the purpose of one until after our meeting. My success coach made sure that I was taken care of, and I knew that I am welcomed back anytime. I never knew how college worked because I am the first person to go to college. I felt pressure from living up to my successes, and she helped ease my mind. She also has helped me get information about things that I needed. She also encouraged me to come in anytime if I start feeling like I am not where I need to be or needed to talk to somebody. She was very sweet, and I just keep thinking about her wall Scentsy that smelled like oranges, which made me feel a homely vibe. I felt comfortable enough to go back if I needed help organizing or just some tips on personal and work life. She knew where I needed to be directed if I get off track, which is very settling to know I have a person to help give me some type of breakdown of assignments or balance out of my day-to-day life.
