Sustainable Energy and Resources Law

This newsletter introduces the Sustainable Energy and Resources (SERL) program at The University of Tulsa College of Law. TU Law is a regional leader in legal education in energy, environmental and natural resources through SERL. Students participate in a rigorous curriculum focusing on current international, national, state and local issues taught by leading scholars in energy, environmental and resources law and policy.

The SERL program offers an innovative curriculum focusing on energy, environmental and natural resource law and policy. Legal and policy choices have far-reaching public health and economic consequences in today’s world. SERL’s primary focus is the nexus between energy and natural resources on the one hand and the environment on the other. Accordingly, SERL is especially concerned with promoting laws and policies that encourage energy diversification and reliability, sustainable supplies of natural resources, good quality access to water and a healthy environment.

Our SERL program combines student activities, two prominent legal journals and access to scholarships from the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law to provide students an innovative and exciting legal education. It is affiliated with the Energy Bar Association (EBA) and the American Bar Association Section on Energy and Environmental Resources (ABA SEER) to provide students an innovative and exciting legal education.
