TU honored by Kiplinger as a best value for 2018

The University of Tulsa has been named a Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Best College Value for 2018. The rankings highlight private universities, public institutions and liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding academics with affordable cost.

TU ranks No. 55 on Kiplinger’s list of best values among private schools, and is No. 179 among the top 300 U.S. colleges.

“We’re proud to once again be recognized by Kiplinger’s for providing students with an engaging college experience, innovative environment and exceptional outcomes,” said Earl Johnson, vice president for enrollment and student services. “The financial assistance available at TU makes it an accessible private university for students seeking exciting research opportunities alongside a strong liberal arts foundation.”

Kiplinger introduced its best value rankings in 1998. The top 300 are selected from an initial list of 1,200 colleges using measures of academic quality, cost and financial aid data. Quality factors include admission rates, test scores of incoming freshmen and student-faculty ratios.

TU has been named a Top 100 national university by U.S. News & World Report for 15 consecutive years and is recognized by the Princeton Review, Fiske Guide and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
