Applying for Aid
When you apply for admission to The University of Tulsa, you are automatically considered for scholarships. You will also need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Award Notification
Financial aid at The University of Tulsa is awarded on a combination of academic achievement and financial need. Award notifications are typically sent to incoming freshman and transfer students beginning in January and to continuing students beginning in late spring.
Accepting Aid
You will receive an email when your Financial Aid Package is ready to be reviewed. For entering freshman or transfer students, login to your TU Self Service Account to submit your Intent to Enroll form and complete your application.
Receiving Aid
Financial aid will credit the account as funding is received. Refunds of financial aid received above university charges will not be made until the student’s aid is received and the student’s costs are completely covered.
Renewing Aid
Financial aid awards are determined annually, you must reapply for federal aid each year. Receiving aid beyond the first year depends upon your academic record and your continued need as based on your financial information.
Changes to Aid
Your enrollment plans are key in the determination of your educational costs. If your plans for the upcoming fall or spring semester change, please contact Student Financial Services to tell us of the changes.
Federal Verification Process
Each year, the federal government requires schools participating in the distribution of financial aid to verify the accuracy of data submitted on the FAFSA. To complete verification, applicants are asked to submit federal tax documents and/or complete electronic forms.
