There is a lot of activity on campus these days, especially with technology, and it’s sometimes hard to keep up with the latest developments. While Goldie has been spending serious hours in the esports lounge the web team has been busy making improvements to the website behind the scenes.

Over the past year the marketing division had been working towards implementing a secondary CMS. That project was met with significant challenges and the university chose to focus on our existing infrastructure over a fractured and more complex environment. This means we remain a WordPress shop, and expect to be for the foreseeable future.
Additionally, the university website has effectively been moved from Marketing to IT. The two departments will work together to provide both content (marketing) and technical (information technology) support.
IT will maintain the WordPress infrastructure, user accounts, and provide training for content managers. Marketing will manage content strategy, marketing initiatives, high-level/core content, etc.
