The TU Chamber Music Camp is a five day program beginning Monday morning and ending with a final showcase concert on Friday afternoon. The camp is open to intermediate and advanced string students currently enrolled in middle and high school. A minimum of 2 years playing experience is required. Seniors who have just graduated are welcome. Activities include string orchestra, chamber ensemble coaching, and private lessons. Daily Brown Bag performances featuring TU faculty, students, alumni, and guest artists in the lobby of the beautiful Lorton Performance Center provide a relaxing break and opportunity to connect with faculty and other students. All concerts are free and open to the public.

July 14-18
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m-3 p.m.
Friday:
- 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
- 4 p.m. – Final concert and following reception
Camp Instructors
Camp faculty are The University of Tulsa professors, and other music educators whose careers as teachers and players are well-established and widely respected in the region.
Auditions
An audition is required to place students in ensembles by demonstrating their level of technique and musicianship. Auditions will be held in the Lorton Performance Center. Auditions will be held June 23-25, 2025 at the Lorton Performance Center. Students should be prepared to play a two-octave scale, a three minute solo, and sightread.
Location and Facilities
The TU Summer String Camp will be held on the campus of The University of Tulsa. All activities will be held in the Lorton Performance Center, home of the TU School of Music, 550 South Gary Place.
Lunchtime Concert Series
Brown Bag concerts by TU faculty and students, alumni and guest artists will be presented Monday through Friday during the noon hour in the lobby of the Lorton Performance Center. Students should bring their lunch to eat while enjoying these wonderful performances. These concerts are free and open to the public and will begin shortly after noon.
Camp Fee/Enrollment
The fee for attending camp covers all materials, classes, and a camp T-shirt. Students must provide their instruments.
Registration Deadline: June 9, 2025
Payment of $300 due by June 16, 2025
