Founded in 1982, University School is a full school program for students from age three through eighth grade. The school provides an emotionally supportive and intellectually challenging learning environment that rewards both creativity and socially responsible behavior. We believe a person learns best in a supportive atmosphere where they are actively involved and have opportunities to exercise their personal agency in their education. We know that each student is an individual, and therefore, we do not expect uniform educational results. Our low pupil-teacher ratio allows us to provide a great deal of individual attention to each of our students.
University School has a special collection of talented and passionate educators and administrators that truly engage advanced learners. Everyone at the school truly wants to see students succeed. The relationships developed there are formative in helping young people find their purpose and determine the kind of person they want to be. High academic standards prepared me to manage high level classwork while also pursuing my own passions.
