24-hour crisis support –
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. We’re committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness.

If you have questions about accessing mental health services, the MiResource Learning Center is a great place to start. Designed for college students, the Learning Center helps answer questions like: “What are the first steps to pay with insurance?”, “What does it mean if a provider offers a “sliding scale?”, “Is online therapy the right match for me?”, “Will my parents know I’m going to a mental health provider if I am on their insurance plan?” and more.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Advocate
TU Employees with any employee sponsored health plan have access to a Health Advocate through Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition to providing information about plan benefits, this Health Advocate can provide individualized assistance in accessing mental health care, including helping locate good-fit providers and even assist with scheduling a first appointment.
