Honors Opportunities

Whether you're a student exploring research opportunities and camps, or an educator seeking collaboration, The University of Tulsa offers pathways for engagement, innovation and growth through various programs.

Study Abroad

Honors students have opportunities to extend their learning beyond campus through immersive study abroad experiences that connect academic study with cultural exploration. Programs such as Jumpstart UTulsa in Rome allow students to engage directly with the history, literature, philosophy and art of the classical world. Honors students may also select from non-Honors Jumpstart destinations in Germany, Mexico and China.

By living alongside fellow Honors students, residents have opportunities to continue classroom discussions, participate in faculty-led events and build friendships rooted in shared academic and personal interests. Through dinners, reading groups, lectures and informal gatherings, the Honors Living Learning Community (HLLC) creates a supportive environment where learning and community continue long after class ends.

Undergraduate Research

Its aim is to create leaders in scholarship, research and public life through an emphasis on undergraduate research and community involvement.

Conferences and symposia extend classroom learning into broader academic engagement by connecting students with faculty and visiting scholars. These events allow students to attend and participate in discussions, strengthening engagement with ideas across disciplines while supporting the Honors College’s commitment to academic engagement and intellectual development.

Student-Led Campus Theatre Revival

At The University of Tulsa Honors College, students are helping revive campus theatre through the TU Theatre Union, a student-led initiative that has reestablished opportunities for live performance at UTulsa. Honors College students are actively involved in producing and performing in shows, taking initiative to rebuild a sustainable theatre presence on campus.
