
The University of Tulsa’s College of Engineering & Computer Science continues its upward momentum in academic excellence, improving in rankings in several programs for 2026, according to U.S. News & World Report. The college remains a top 50 undergraduate engineering program among private research universities.
The U.S. News program rankings are based on peer assessments from academic leaders across the nation. UTulsa’s petroleum engineering rank rose to No. 3 overall among undergraduate programs and is now ranked No. 1 among private doctoral programs in the U.S – reflecting our longstanding reputation in petroleum engineering research and curricula.
In addition, UTulsa’s overall undergraduate engineering programs climbed four spots. This year’s rankings continue the five-year upward trend in rankings driven by initiatives in providing applicable solutions to real-world challenges.
“Our increase in ranking represents the dedication of our faculty to providing a world-class undergraduate education that exposes students to real-world problems through intensive experiential learning. Students graduate UTulsa ready to solve rare problems and make an impact whether they choose industry or graduate study as their next step,” said Daniel Crunkleton, Ph.D., J.D., associate dean of the College of Engineering & Computer Science.
