Engineering & Computer Science fetes 2025 Hall of Fame inductees

On May 1, The University of Tulsa’s College of Engineering and Computer Science inducted three new members into its Hall of Fame: Christina Bishop Jackson (B.S. ’05, Ph.D. ’10), Mark G. Hatfield (B.S. ’82) and Thomas E. Jorden.

Christina Bishop Jackson

Jackson is the research and development director for Honeywell Environmental and Sustainability Systems. Her previous roles include senior business leader of Honeywell UOP – including process equipment, key mechanical equipment, and control systems – and general manager of Honeywell UOP Callidus. Since completing her Six Sigma Black Belt in 2012, she has mentored over 60 Honeywell employees to assist with their Six Sigma Green Belts. She was awarded “Top Green Belt Mentor – 2014” within all of Honeywell. She has been with the Top 100 company for more than 18 years and been involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for 24 years. Last year, she took over the role of Honeywell Corporate Partnership Council Representative to SWE.

Mark Hatfield

Hatfield is the managing director of Chevron’s Australia Business Unit based in Perth, Australia. He began his journey with Chevron in 1982 as a production engineer in Louisiana and has since held various leadership roles, including vice president of the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit and general manager of upstream strategy and planning. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to the energy industry, community service and UTulsa, having served on the boards of Australian Energy Producers and the U.S. Federal Reserve Energy Advisory Council and chairing the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball. Hatfield is driven by his favorite quote: “If you think you can, or think you can’t, you’ll be right.”

Tom Jorden

Jorden is the chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Coterra Energy, following his tenure at Cimarex Energy. At Cimarex, he began serving as executive vice president of exploration when the company formed in 2002. His responsibilities in exploration included the discovery and development of a multi-basin portfolio of oil and gas assets. He led the company’s technology efforts, emphasizing the application of advanced technologies while focusing on financial returns and responsible capital management. In 2011, he became CEO and president of Cimarex and then chairman of the board in 2012. His career has demonstrated a commitment to durable shareholder returns, capital discipline, technical excellence, integrity and hard work.
