Money’s annual “Best Colleges” list is used widely by students and parents during the college decision process to help families make informed decisions about where to spend their tuition dollars. Money showcases the country’s top values and offers a practical analysis of more than 700 four-year colleges, focusing on affordability and student outcomes. Data collection for the 2025 edition of “Best Colleges” was done by Money’s rankings partner, Witlytic. Data analyzed for the ratings includes tuition prices, financial aid, percentages, average student debt and early career earnings. Money’s editorial staff is solely responsible for the final ratings decisions.
Money acknowledged The University of Tulsa for its high ratings of education, affordability and graduation outcomes. According to the publication, UTulsa awards 96% of undergrads with grants and 94% of students with need-based grants. UTulsa is also recognized for its 72% graduation rate as well as the typical early-career earnings of $61,410 by alumni.
