At our Party in the Pit during homecoming, I had the honor of unveiling the Tulsa 100 Legacy Project, a transformative opportunity for our alumni to shape the future of the College of Law in a meaningful and enduring way.
As we enter a new era of growth and possibility, the college is embarking on a bold journey to reclaim its place among the nation’s top law schools. Now more than ever, your legacy can make a lasting impact.
The Tulsa 100 plan is a visionary, 10-year strategic initiative aimed at revitalizing The University of Tulsa’s College of Law. It seeks to reverse a decade of underinvestment and elevate the college into the Top 100 law schools nationally. With the upcoming NextGen Bar Exam and evolving ranking metrics, we stand at a pivotal moment, where targeted investment can drive transformative change.
Our plan is anchored by three interrelated goals:
- Achieve a Top 100 ranking in U.S. News & World Report
- Attain a 100% first-time bar pass rate
- Secure a 100% graduate employment rate
These goals align with the most heavily weighted ranking factors – employment outcomes (33%) and bar passage rates (25%) – making them essential to our success.
With the launch of Tulsa 100, we are making strategic investments in academic support, career development, faculty excellence and student scholarships. And our students are already rising to the challenge.
Recently, third-year students Brayden Oglesby and Allie Morrison claimed the National Championship at the Health Law Moot Court Competition hosted by Southern Illinois University. Their brief earned runner-up honors, while Brayden was named Best Oralist and Allie was runner-up.
Investments in Tulsa 100 will fuel more achievements like these. To realize this vision, we must equip our students with the tools they need to succeed – and you, our alumni, are key to that effort. Your accomplishments inspire our students, and when your legacy joins theirs, the Tulsa 100 project becomes a shared triumph for our entire community.
In short, the College of Law needs your support now more than ever to build a legacy worthy of our students and our future.
