The University of Tulsa is hosting its second National Academy of Engineers (NAE) member-led event, bringing together global leaders to discuss innovations in science and engineering with an emphasis on mechanics, new materials applications and more. Panelists will discuss industry and academic advancements, ranging from subsurface materials in modeling, experimental studies and extreme environments.
“NAE member-led events are milestones that bring together thinkers from across the nation,” said Andreas A. Polycarpou, Ph.D., dean of the College of Engineering & Computer Science. “We are beyond pleased to once again host NAE members at the university.”
Speakers will discuss technologies driving onshore and offshore subsurface exploration with sessions covering case studies, economic advancements and the latest engineering practices. Attendees can expect a comprehensive discussion about the rapidly evolving field while immersing themselves in Tulsa’s historic leadership in energy, making UTulsa a strategic location. With the event chaired by James P. Brill, Ph.D., NAE, the committee aims to strengthen regional engagement, creating a place of connection for all.
