UTulsa Law rises in 2026 U.S. News rankings

The University of Tulsa College of Law rose seven spots in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings released this week.

“It’s always great to see the work of students, staff and faculty payoff in recognized gains like this year. We are delighted to see the rankings reflect on our students’ success in employment outcomes and bar success, which contributed to our movement up in the rankings,” said Interim Dean Marc Roark.

U.S. News evaluated institutions on multiple criteria, including placement of graduates, faculty resources, achievements of entering students and opinions by law schools, lawyers and judges on program quality.

The metrics regarding employment outcomes confirm that UTulsa Law alumni continue to compete well in the marketplace among public and private employers. In particular, 92% of UTulsa Law graduates obtain positions in full-time, long-term, bar admission-required and/or J.D.-advantage classifications or categories.

Student engagement and access to faculty also contribute to the college’s ongoing success with a 7.8:1 student-faculty ratio.

In addition, the Mabee Legal Information Center continues to enhance the academic experience through its extensive legal collections and modern research environment. The library offers access to advanced technologies and specialized resources in areas such as energy, environmental and Native American law, where UTulsa cultivates one of the leading collections in the country. The facility also supports student learning through dedicated spaces for law journals, advocacy programs and collaborative study.
