Pornographic “Deepfake Ecosystem” on Telegram Uncovered by Sensity

Deepfakes continue to pervade media outlets. A recent report from Sensity, a cyber firm, “revealed that a pornographic ‘deepfake ecosystem’ has spread across the messaging app Telegram.” Several US states have passed laws and regulations governing deepfakes, but the “synthetic media” is largely unregulated. It is plausible that increased regulation of this media-type will be necessary.
