Accountancy Grad Programs

The STEM-certified accountancy graduate program (MAcc) at UTulsa equips students to succeed as leaders in a dynamic, rapidly evolving field, preparing them to shape tomorrow’s financial landscape.

The increasing use of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are creating exciting changes in accounting. The MAcc program builds upon a traditional accounting foundation and infuses it with analytics and technology to give our students the skills they need to thrive in this fast-changing profession. Students develop critical thinking, leadership, and cross-functional management skills, and gain a deep understanding of the strategic role of accounting in business organizations and society. This 30-hour degree program can be completed in 12 months and provides an excellent avenue to attain CPA compliance for those seeking professional certification.

Professional Opportunities

  • Students can gain professional experience through a part-time spring or full-time summer internship during the MAcc program. The internship provides practical, application-based experiences without interruption of the MAcc program.
  • Graduates are well prepared for job opportunities in a variety of roles, including auditor, tax specialist, corporate accountant, and business and finance analyst.
  • Alumni employers include PWC, Forvis, BOK Financial Corp., Deloitte, Eide Bailly LLP, EY, Grant Thornton LLP, Hogan Taylor LLP, ONE Gas, Inc., QuikTrip, ONEOK, Inc., CBIZ, and CCK.

Funding Opportunities

  • Four out of five of our graduate business students receive scholarships, graduate assistantships, or company tuition reimbursement.
  • Merit scholarships that cover 20%-75% of tuition are available for students who apply before the rolling admission deadlines.

Admission Information

  • Must hold baccalaureate degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PET scores required for international students.
  • GMAT or GRE required but may be waived by the advisor
