TU ID Card

Each person formally associated with The University of Tulsa is issued an ID card. Generally, the ID card is used in person to gain access to services or make purchases on campus. Your TU ID card can be used for:

  • Checking out items from the library
  • Making purchases on campus (swipe for a meal, Hurricane Gold Dollars and dining dollars)
  • Access to a variety of campus events and services
  • Entering the Collins Fitness Center
  • Access to a variety of campus events and services
  • Picking up packages from Mail Services

The TU ID card is the official identification card. TU ID cards must be carried at all times when on campus and presented to university officials upon request. 

Getting Started

New students: Please click on CanePhoto and follow the instructions. If you will be living on campus and submitted an approved photo at least two business days before your arrival (or seven days prior to fall arrival), you may pick up your ID when you check into your housing assignment. If you are a commuter, you may pick up your TU ID card in Campus Services (Student Union, second floor) upon receipt of approved email.

100% online students: Please click on CanePhoto and follow the same instructions. We will mail you your TU ID card within one week of receiving your approved photo.

New TU employee: You will receive instructions for onboarding from Human Resources. You may submit your photo and request an TU ID card 24 business hours after completing your onboarding in the Paycom system. To submit your photo, click on CanePhoto. You may pick up your ID immediately after orientation if a photo has been uploaded before or during orientation. For all others, we will email you within 24 business hours of submitting an approved photo.

Retiring from the university: Faculty and staff retiring from TU will need to return your current ID card to Human Resources during your exit appointment. Afterward, you may click on CanePhoto to upload a new photo or select to maintain your current photo to create a retiree TU ID card. Once you submit a photo, your replacement ID card will be ready to be picked up at Campus Services (Student Union, second floor) in approximately one business day.

Replace, Lost or Stolen

Replacement TU ID card: Current students and employees click on CanePhoto to upload a new photo or select to maintain your current photo to create a replacement TU ID card. Once you submit a photo, your replacement ID will be ready in approximately one business day. Campus Services will send an email letting you know your ID card is ready for pickup. Your university bursar account will be charged $15 to replace your ID. You will pick up your new TU ID card in the Campus Services office (Student Union, second floor, suite 233).

Please report lost or stolen cards to Campus Services. TU ID cards are not transferable and are void upon interruption or termination of enrollment/employment with the university. Improper use of the TU ID card is subject to university conduct code.
