University of Tulsa junior Tulsi Patel has been named one of 40 female college students selected to receive a CREW Network Foundation Grant for the 2024-25 academic year. This award includes $5,000 for tuition and books for undergraduates or $10,000 for graduate students, along with valuable network and career-building opportunities.
The CREW Network Foundation supports women as they pursue university-level education that leads to careers in commercial real estate. The scholarship program has granted nearly $1.9 million to 296 female students at 139 universities across 39 states and provinces in the U.S. and Canada since 2008.
Patel, who is double majoring in finance and accounting with a minor in real estate, is involved with the TU Real Estate Club, Student Finance Association, Student Association, and TU Business Society, as well as a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Mortar Board. She has internship experience in the accounting industry and is keen to expand her knowledge and gain important skills in finance and commercial real estate.
“Tulsi has been engaged with our real estate program since her freshman year,” said Meagan McCollum. “She has taken advantage of many of the opportunities we offer to students through the Center for Real Estate Studies, which helped make her a competitive applicant for this award. I am very proud of Tulsi for being selected for this prestigious national scholarship.”
This is the first year a student at an Oklahoma university has received the prestigious CREW award.
