As another academic year ends, I’m proud to reflect on the momentum we’ve built across the College of Engineering & Computer Science at The University of Tulsa. Whether you graduated five years ago or fifty, your legacy continues to shape the experiences of our students and faculty—and this year was a powerful reminder of just how far we’ve come, and where we’re headed.
Celebrating our community’s contributions remains one of our greatest privileges. On May 1, 2025, we welcomed three remarkable alumni into our Hall of Fame: Christina Bishop Jackson, Mark Hatfield, and Tom Jorden. Each of these engineers exemplifies professional excellence and a lasting commitment to UTulsa.
At our 56th Honors and Awards Ceremony, we recognized the achievements of 58 high-achieving students. These honors speak to the caliber of both our students and educators and their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.
As we look to the future, we remain energized by the opportunities ahead. Whether through our continued emphasis on student-centered research, our leadership in energy transition research, or our growing global partnerships, UTulsa is positioned to help shape the next generation of engineers and computer scientists. As featured in a recent profile, TU alumna Carrie Kirk exemplifies our commitment to excellence in her nonprofit leadership and entrepreneurship.
On behalf of the entire college, thank you for being part of our journey. We hope you’ll stay connected, visit us on campus, and share in the excitement of what’s to come.
Regards,
Andreas A. Polycarpou
