Dear Oxley community,

Thank you for taking the time to read about all that is happening in the Oxley College of Health and Natural Sciences. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as dean and am one month into this important role. As a proud alumnus of The University of Tulsa and someone who has spent more than 20 years as a faculty member and academic leader at UTulsa, this role is both professionally meaningful and deeply personal. This university and this college have shaped my career, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back by supporting the students, faculty, staff, alumni and partners who make Oxley such a remarkable academic community.
My commitment as dean is centered on our students and faculty—the heart of everything we do. I am devoted to fostering exceptional student engagement through innovative teaching, high-impact learning, research and scholarly activity and meaningful clinical and applied experiences. Equally important is supporting and investing in our world-class faculty and staff, whose teaching, research, clinical work and service drive the college’s excellence and national reputation. Together, we will continue to advance discovery, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and create learning and creative environments where all members of our community can thrive.
The Oxley College also plays an essential role beyond the university. I am committed to expanding community partnerships, service initiatives and professional collaborations that translate our expertise into real-world impact. Through research, clinical engagement, public service and alumni involvement, we will continue to contribute to the health, well-being and scientific advancement of our communities. I look forward to working with you as we build on our strong foundation and shape a bold and purposeful future for the Oxley College of Health & Natural Sciences.
When you do what you love, with people that you love, in a place that you love amazing things happen!
Yours in Service,
