This summer, The University of Tulsa (UTulsa) is proud to host the Urban Coders Guild’s coding camps, welcoming middle and high school students to its campus. These free camps provide a unique opportunity for young learners to delve into the world of technology, enhance their coding skills, and explore new interests.
John Hale, Ph.D., chair of computer science at UTulsa, emphasizes the broader impact of the camps: “This camp is a great way to expose bright minds to different professional areas of computer science in a fun and engaging way. At the same time, it gives these students an opportunity to experience our beautiful campus and absorb the college culture. Fundamentally, these camps allow their participants to imagine entirely new possibilities for their future.”
UTulsa’s Urban Coders Guild fosters problem-solving, creativity, and innovation through coding. The camps are designed to be interactive and engaging, ensuring that every student leaves with a solid foundation in coding and a renewed enthusiasm for technology. These camps help students enhance their technical skills and give them a glimpse of college life at UTulsa, inspiring them to envision their future in higher education and beyond.
