TU Closed Thursday

Due to ongoing inclement weather, The University of Tulsa will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 3. All TU classes, including virtual, are canceled and all university offices will be closed. The Student Union will be open for dining and mail services.

Tulsa County is under a winter storm warning. Students should exercise extreme caution when traveling across campus as ice has begun forming on walkways, steps, parking lots and streets. Slick spots may be reported to Facilities Management at 918-631-2245. Please call Campus Security at 918-631-5555 if you need assistance.

Students should check Harvey as soon as possible for make-up assignments and new deadlines for coursework. McFarlin Library will remain closed Thursday along with Collins Fitness Center and the Campus Bookstore.

Faculty should delay any quizzes, exams or other assessments scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday and move the due date for any assignments. Faculty may post videos, slides, readings and other course information to Harvey to make up for class time missed this week. They may also make assignments as they normally would in class. However, students should be given ample time to complete assignments and tasks. Faculty should not assume students have internet access or the ability to travel to campus while classes are canceled. Faculty should notify students well in advance about any rescheduled in-person activities, such as missed labs.

Sign up online for emergency notifications and weather-related updates. Information also will be posted to the university website and TU Facebook and Twitter accounts. A decision on Friday’s classes will be announced by 5 p.m. Thursday.
